This past week was the 104th Black and White Days in our town. It’s named that for the Holstein cows and includes a cow show, parade, horse pulls, and other events. So in honor of that, my craft girls made cow hats at craft days this week. They turned out super cute!
For this craft, I supplied the following items:
- foam visors (you can find these at craft stores such as Hobby Lobby and JOANN’s)
- pink craft foam
- black craft foam
- white craft foam (optional)
- blue and green foam, for eyes
- glue sticks or craft glue (the glue sticks worked well)
- brads (to attach the ears; optional)
- templates made from cardstock (optional)
- Markers (to add a smile; optional)
This was an easy and fun craft. I created some templates for some of the girls to use. I pre-cut some of the parts for three-year olds, but encouraged them cut their own “spots”, which was fun for them. For some the ears, we attached them with brads which gave them a folded look. Some of the craft foam was glittered, which was fun.
♥ These past two weeks have been crazy busy at my house. Besides craft days, which are three times a week, we’ve been decluttering, cleaning, staging our house, and weeding our flower beds, with the help of some amazing friends. It’s kept us up late some nights and has had us rushing about the house to get everything show-ready. The photographer came last Friday and spent three hours taking still pictures and scans for a virtual tour. Then there was a private showing, a realtor walk-through, and an open-house this week. My house and yard has never looked better, but it’s so. much. work. It’s exhausting! My kids and friends have been so helpful. I couldn’t have done it without them. So, that’s what’s going on with us. What’s going on at your house? Is your May as busy as mine? Let me know! Thanks for stopping by. ♥
