This past week, my SURF Club girls made key chains or zipper pulls.

For this craft, I supplied the following:
- Key rings, zipper pulls, lobster hooks
- Jump rings
- Yarn to make pompoms or tassels
- Craft cording
- Beads
- Unicorn charms and colorful chain (optional)
- Scissors
- Googly eyes (optional)
- Hot glue gun and glue sticks (for the googly eyes)

You can look online for how to make yarn pompoms and tassels. Here is one tutorial by wikiHow. They’re pretty easy to make and my daughter walked my craft girls through the process. Some added googly eyes to their pompoms.

You may need jewelry pliers or a jump ring opener.

The girls added beads to the craft cord and tied it off directly on the key ring or used a jump ring.

One girl used the chain to make a necklace instead. π

One fun place for a homemade key chain/zipper pull is on a back pack.

The girls really enjoyed making these. I think they turned out great.
π Wishing all my readers a Happy Memorial Day. πΊπΈ We are visiting my mother-in-law this weekend to give her some company. She’s already taken flowers to her family’s graves because the weather is supposed to be rainy on Monday. I’m sure we’ll visit my father-in-law’s grave at least. I miss him. He was a wonderful father to my husband and sadly, I only got to know him for four years before he passed away from cancer. π Thanks for stopping by! π
Kids would love these! Especially the one with the googly eyes! cute!

This looks like a fun one to do with the kids. My favorite is the one with the wiggle eyes. Have a wonderful Memorial day as well and thank you to your family for their services. My father-in-law served a couple wars and the kids go visit his grave every memorial day. It is a special day remembering their grandpa. He was such a kind human being.
